MBA - Journey begins

It was November 2016, one of my friends relocated to Singapore on his job assignment. He was one of my flatmates while I was working in Bangalore. We decided to meet in Singapore as soon as he arrived. He came to my place. While chit chat he brought the topic of his recent exams' preparation for his 3rd sem of M. Tech. When I probed more details came to know about Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP) of BITS Pilani. I inquired further details about curriculum program, exams, fee and duration etc. Needless to say , few things really grabbed my attention such as flexible semesters, more flexible exam dates, weightage of marks to each component such as quiz, mid sem, experiential learning and end exams. In addition, I have been reluctant and hesitant about by-hearting contents etc after more than a decade since my graduation. However, open book exam enticed me to enroll course. Few more selling points they have such as we can enroll for each sem based on our availability during that semester. For example, after finishing my 1st sem if I decided to snooze my course I can choose to remain inactive and resume my semester in 2nd half of the year. Each semester starts twice in a year. Students can enroll in either of semesters in year. Moreover, they conduct mid sem and end sem exam twice during semester named as regular and make up. For instance, if I am not able to attempt any of subjects in regular mid sem same can be given in following make up which usually get conducted with in next 2 weeks of regular exam. Finally, fee was also affordable compared to many universities in India and abroad.

On the other hand, started my process for MBA application by collecting, collating and submitting all those details such as educational qualifications, work experience, mentor details and sponsorship from organization. I chose my manager as mentor to simplify the  process. All things went well. Finally, got my admission by end of December. I paid tuition fee and officially started my journey of MBA.

Thousand miles of journey begins with single step.
